Languedoc-based Domaine du Météore has launched a new organic rosé to the UK market.
The new wine, released as an AOP Faugères, is a blend of Cinsault (50%), Grenache Noir (40%), and Mourvèdre (10%) from the 2019 vintage.
It’s described as a being ‘pale… both expressive and delicate with aromas of raspberry, strawberry, and grapefruit with a touch of white pepper’. The producers say that the overall impression is of a ‘juicy, harmonious and elegant’ wine.
The fruit for this wine comes from vines grown within and around the 300 meter-wide meteorite crater which gives the domaine its name.
The wine is available through the producers’ website domainedumeteore.com, while a variety of the domaine’s wines can be sourced through Stone Vine & Sun, Haynes Hanson & Clark, and Les Caves de Pyrene.
